Babolat and Hexagon Cup have partnered for the second edition of the groundbreaking padel tournament, which will take place at the Madrid Arena from January 29 to February 2, 2025. Babolat becomes the Official Technical Sponsor for footwear and apparel, providing all the sportswear for the event, including shoes, clothing, and accessories.
The well-known racket sports brand will have a significant presence during the tournament and throughout all the promotional activities leading up to it, such as the padel court set up by the Hexagon Cup organization at Plaza Felipe II from September 15 to 22. With this agreement, Babolat takes a further step in joining forces with Hexagon Cup, helping the event continue to grow and offer the best team padel show in the world.
This partnership is yet another example of Babolat’s commitment to padel and the brand's important role in the exponential growth of the sport globally, now played in over 100 countries by more than 20 million players. Babolat has been a key player in the development of the padel industry for over 20 years. The brand created its first padel racket in 2001 and launched the first 100% padel shoe in 2019, an innovation developed in partnership with Michelin, which has won multiple awards, including “Padel Shoe of the Year.” In 2023, Babolat also designed the first racket specifically for women (50% of players in Spain are women), enriching its already extensive range of women's footwear.
With the widest and most accessible offering on the market, catering to both amateur and professional players, Babolat provides a comprehensive and optimized padel experience, always aiming to deliver comfort and enjoyment. "Babolat is a global leader, and together, we want to take padel and this event to a new dimension. It is an honor for us to have sealed this partnership, and we are confident that together, we will achieve our goal of continuing to revolutionize world padel," said Astrid Thams, Commercial Managing Director of the competition.
"At Babolat, we support Hexagon because it perfectly represents the comprehensive approach to our padel vision, turning it into an experience that goes beyond the courts, connecting people in an environment where sport and community come together. Hexagon is fully aligned with our concept of padel—it’s a lifestyle that combines socialization, fun, inclusion, and competition," said Jose Luis Sanz, Business Leader Padel at Babolat.
"We want this tournament to continue revolutionizing the world of padel, and for that, it's essential to keep partnering with the best. We are thrilled to have Babolat in the tournament, bringing the strength of a great brand in our sport," reflected Sergio Lewin, Operations and Sporting Managing Director of Hexagon Cup.
