adidas has announced the arrival of its first ever dedicated padel footwear; the Crazyquick Lightstrike. With over 10 years of creating leading padel rackets and building over 3000 courts around the world, the footwear release is the brand’s latest commitment to next generation athletes of this rapidly growing sport, enjoyed by so many around the world.
"As padel has grown in popularity, we’ve seen an increase in demand for specialised footwear to meet the unique characteristics and demands of the sport – we designed our first footwear to help players of all levels enhance their experience, positioning ourselves at the heart of the sport. A shoe that supports quick, multi-directional movement was our goal and we're confident that we've delivered a product that will support the continued growth of the game around the world.", said Kerryn Foster, GM Specialist Sports adidas.
The Crazyquick Lightstrike has been crafted to support the explosive and multi-directional movement patterns of padel; focusing on speed across the court and when at the net – helping players side-step the dead zone and utilize every pocket of space on the court.
Developed in collaboration with grassroots and elite players – including some of the world’s leading padel players Ale Galan and Marta Ortega – the shoe combines some of adidas’ leading footwear design technologies, adapted to create a product suitable for pro and amateur players alike.

Ale Galan, one of the world’s leading padel players, said: “Working with adidas to provide insights for this shoe has been one of the most exciting experiences of my career. To be a part of its first padel shoe has been an inspiring process and I feel like the CRAZYQUICK Lightstrike is going to help us push our game to the next level, on and off the court.”
The Crazyquick Lightstrike are the first model in adidas' new range of padel footwear, which includes other shoes that will be released later this year. This first model is already available on adidas' website and app, as well as in physical stores.
