What if the perfect date wasn’t at a bar, but on a padel court? With this idea in mind, LÕK, the new-generation padel brand known for its bold and attitude-filled style, and Bumble, the dating app where women make the first move, have teamed up to launch “Game. Set. Match.” This new campaign invites single people to step out of their comfort zone and explore new ways of connecting, where movement, unfiltered laughter, and authenticity are the true protagonists.
Starting May 31, LÕK and Bumble will organize padel events in Madrid, Seville, and Barcelona, where participants will be able to share the court -and a connection- in a fun and relaxed environment. These events aim to break away from the rigidity of traditional dating and offer a space where padel becomes the perfect excuse to break the ice, move, laugh, and -who knows- spark something more genuine.
This initiative responds to a shift in how new generations prefer to date. According to a study conducted by Ipsos for Bumble, the majority (56%) of young people believe that sharing a fun activity helps ease the pressure of a first date. In this sense, padel is establishing itself as a new social language. In fact, almost half of Gen Z (41%) consider it one of the best sports to meet new people. On Bumble, padel is one of the most popular sports interests among both men and women.
Through these events, LÕK and Bumble are turning the court into a meeting point where the goal is not to impress, but to enjoy being yourself. Furthermore, the majority (53%) of young people say that this type of activity makes conversation easier and helps avoid awkward silences, demonstrating that movement and play are great allies for naturally breaking the ice.
This initiative is part of Bumble’s broader mission to encourage healthy and authentic relationships, where people feel free to be themselves. Following the success of Bumble’s Running Clubs -created to foster connection through movement- this new collaboration with LÕK strengthens Bumble’s commitment to building a world where all relationships are healthy and equitable.
For LÕK, this partnership with Bumble is a natural extension of its philosophy: sport is not only about performance, but also a lifestyle based on community, style, and fun. Together, these two brands are offering new generations a fresh and pressure-free way to meet people and build authentic connections.
Upcoming "Game. Set. Match.”
The tour will stop in three key cities throughout the season. It will kick off on May 31 in Madrid, at Ciudad de la Raqueta; continue on June 20 in Seville, at Icónico; and conclude on July 4 in Barcelona, at NickPadel. At each event, single participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a different, authentic, and fun experience, using sport as a catalyst for real connection.
