Joma has officially unveiled its new special collection developed alongside player Vero Virseda at the Padel World Summit, the largest international padel event, held from May 27 to 29 at Fira de Barcelona. The brand chose this setting, where the sector’s main players gather, to officially present its new collection, attended by both the technical product development team and part of Joma’s management.

Joma's new collection for Vero Virseda is more than just a special edition. With this line, the brand goes beyond its commitment to producing technical equipment. It now showcases everything behind its creation process and highlights the value of developing products hand in hand with elite athletes like her.

Vero Virseda’s involvement in every step of the process proves that top performance stems from real experience, from those who truly know the court. This unique proposal celebrates the talent of one of the sport’s top professional players and the technical evolution behind it, where Joma closely collaborates with the athlete to help improve her performance.

“Being a professional padel player and having your own exclusive products designed by you, with your style, your signature… is a dream come true. The Joma team was involved from the beginning and, after many tests and all the time we spent developing the products, I believe we exceeded our expectations by far,” says Vero Virseda.

Specifically, the special edition includes a new model of the Hyper padel racket, developed with a hybrid mold that combines the best of control and power, as well as a personalized padel racket bag. Is also includes the high-end Slam shoes, specially designed for her, featuring cutting-edge technology to provide excellent cushioning, stability, and support.

Special Vero Virseda collection: a full display of Joma’s product creation process

This launch comes to life through a campaign following a four-phase narrative that documents how an idea is transformed into a high-performance technical product, with Vero’s direct involvement in every stage:

• Product design: At Joma’s headquarters, Vero had her first direct contact with the creation of her products, getting involved from the start by reviewing technical data sheets and exploring sketches and breakdowns with the design team to fully adapt them to her playing style.

• Testing and manufacturing: Every item in the collection is backed by tests from the INESCOP laboratory, specialized in sports. These were conducted to ensure maximum performance in competition. Materials, durability, and response capacity were tested to the limit.

• On-court testing: At the INESCOP lab, Vero Virseda takes center stage in validating the product. Using high-tech equipment, aspects such as step dynamics, fatigue, and the shoe’s biomechanical response under real game conditions are analyzed.

• Hitting the court: The final stage takes place where everything makes sense — the court. In a high-level competitive environment, Vero Virseda is ready to bring the product to life. With her racket and shoes, everything is in place to perform at her best.

New Hyper racket: balance between precision and power

The Hyper racket that Vero Virseda will be using is Joma’s new commitment to padel excellence. It features a hybrid shape — a format that delivers both top control and precision, as well as power. It’s designed to enhance offensive play without sacrificing comfort.

Its high balance, shifted toward the tip, adds more weight where it’s most needed for offensive shots. It also incorporates 3K carbon in its structure — a lightweight yet resistant material that improves impact rigidity and provides excellent ball output. The core features EVA 17 rubber, delivering a comfortable feel on impact, especially when hitting the sweet spot.

Slam shoes: technology and performance for professional padel

Intended for technically skilled players, they include state-of-the-art technical systems to ensure maximum cushioning, stability, and protection.

The upper, made of breathable mesh, allows proper sweat ventilation. The VTS technology, consisting of small perforations, keeps feet cool and dry even during the most intense sessions. The JOMA SPORTECH heat-sealed fit system molds the shoes to the foot without adding weight and eliminates friction zones. The toe cap and sides feature PROTECTION reinforcements to shield these areas and extend durability.

The midsole includes high-quality phylon, offering exceptional energy return. The lower REACTIVE BALL layer provides superior cushioning. This material combination ensures stability during lateral movements and optimizes explosive starts and quick stops during changes in direction.

Additionally, the semi-rigid STABILIS piece in the midfoot improves the shoe’s overall stability, reducing the risk of twisting and helping prevent injuries. Finally, the DURABILITY rubber outsole is highly resistant to hard surfaces while enabling smooth sliding to reach the ball faster.
