On Thursday, July 24, Jim Sports Group held the inauguration of its new customs warehouse at its main headquarters, located in the industrial park of Palas de Rei (Lugo, Spain). This is the first facility of its kind in the province of Lugo and one of the few in the autonomous community of Galicia.
The event brought together nearly 600 attendees, including the founding family, friends, employees, and customers from all five continents, as well as a large number of the company’s international suppliers from countries such as China, Pakistan, Vietnam, and Indonesia. This occasion marked the first global gathering of the entire company ecosystem, representing a milestone in its history.
During the event, the group’s CEO and founder, Jim Graña, emphasized the significant effort involved in making this strategic investment, which totaled €9.8 million. The entire project was financed solely by the company, without any form of public funding.
The new infrastructure adds an additional 12,000 square meters of storage space, effectively doubling the group’s current logistics capacity and reinforcing its position as one of the leading sports equipment operators in Europe.
The inauguration coincided with the celebration of Sports Day, the company’s annual corporate event and a festive day that has become a tradition in the group's calendar. Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed musical performances, culinary offerings, and the chance to explore and try out products from the various brands distributed by Jim Sports.
As part of the event, the company also presented the latest additions to its sports infrastructure, which already includes a gym, children’s playground, professional calisthenics area, and courts for padel, pickleball, 3x3 basketball, pétanque, beach volleyball, beach tennis, and multi-sport football. The facilities have now been expanded to include a new futsal court and a tennis court.
The festivities continued past 8:00 PM, once again reaffirming Jim Sports Group’s commitment to innovation, internationalization, and sustainable development from Galicia.
