Barcelona now has a new international landmark for padel: the Bela Padel Center Barcelona, a project driven by Fernando Belasteguín that combines world-class facilities with the vision and experience of one of the most decorated players in the sport’s history. The center has entrusted Padel Galis—an international leader in the design, manufacturing, and installation of padel courts—to equip its facilities with 20 next-generation M360 courts, consolidating a partnership that reinforces the values Belasteguín shares with the brand: innovation, quality, and an obsession with the playing experience.
Of the 20 courts, 9 are indoor with a perimeter lighting system that provides uniform, adjustable illumination up to 1000 lux—the level required for televised professional tournaments—while consuming up to 70% less energy than conventional systems. The remaining 11 are outdoor courts with LED 420 lighting, which delivers the ideal intensity for sports clubs with approximately 40% energy savings, while always maintaining lighting quality and visual comfort.
Each court is fitted with PGR turf by Bela, the result of more than two years of research in which Belasteguín himself collaborated with specialists, and certified by the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia (IBV). This turf allows for faster and safer play, and its PGR Plus version adds a sustainable approach with recyclable materials.
“I’m very happy with the club we have built. In the pursuit of the highest quality, we’re very satisfied to have worked with Padel Galis, a brand that has supported me for a long time and with which we can guarantee perfect facilities for playing padel, the sport I love so much. On top of that, we’ve installed the PGR turf by Bela, a product I personally dedicated many hours to developing to ensure the best possible playing experience. I’m convinced that players will really enjoy our padel courts,” said Fernando Belasteguín during the inauguration.
With this new club, Barcelona joins the network of centers that bear Fernando Belasteguín’s name and embody his philosophy of work: attention to detail, effort, and constant improvement. It is a philosophy shared by Padel Galis, an international benchmark in padel court design, manufacturing, and installation, with more than 20 years of experience, 10,000 courts installed, and a presence in 75 countries.
“For us, it’s an honor to be part of such an iconic project as the Bela Padel Center Barcelona. This club reflects what matters most to us at Padel Galis: delivering innovation, quality, and sustainability without ever losing sight of the playing experience. Working alongside Fernando Belasteguín is a constant inspiration and strengthens our commitment to the future of padel,” said Juan Larraz, CEO of Padel Galis.
The Bela Padel Center Barcelona was created to be a benchmark space for both professional players and enthusiasts, and Padel Galis is proud to contribute its innovation and expertise to every detail of these courts, which set a new standard in the industry.
