AFP Courts and the Pro Padel League (PPL) unveiled a special edition of the adidas PPL High Competition court, designed to serve as the tournament’s official court at The City’s Cup Finals in New York, which has been taking place since yesterday at the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom in the heart of Manhattan. This historic New York venue has hosted legendary performances by artists such as David Bowie, Queen, Taylor Swift, and Dua Lipa, as well as major television productions, galas, and fashion shows—cementing its status as a cultural and musical landmark.
Since their partnership began in 2024, AFP Courts and the PPL have worked together to elevate professional padel to a level of international excellence. Their collaboration led to the development of the adidas PPL High Competition court, designed to combine elite athletic performance, innovative aesthetics, and a spectacular audience experience.
In this iconic setting, the adidas PPL High Competition court sets a new standard in professional padel with its advanced engineering and striking orange photoluminescent paint applied to its core structural components. Developed with high-purity strontium aluminate pigments, this technology absorbs ambient light and gradually emits it in the dark, creating a dynamic, sustainable glow that highlights the court’s contours during the tournament’s most intense moments.
In the Pro Padel League, every point turns into a visual spectacle, amplifying the energy and intensity of the game while ensuring optimal visibility for television broadcasts and an unforgettable impact for fans in the arena. The result is a court that seamlessly combines technical performance, aesthetic brilliance, and sustainability, perfectly aligned with AFP Courts’ vision of elevating professional padel to new dimensions of spectacle.
The event production will be led by Global Sports & Entertainment (GS&E), a creative agency specializing in immersive experiences. Their approach has transformed the Hammerstein Ballroom into a space that blends sport, innovation, and urban culture, enhancing the experience for both players and spectators.
“We want every element of the court to reflect the energy and intensity of the PPL at its highest level. This special edition of the adidas High Competition court embodies our philosophy of innovation and our vision for the new dimension that padel is reaching as a mass spectacle,” said Jorge Caña, Co-CEO of AFP Courts.
