Playtomic successfully closes its community round, raising 5.1 million euros

Playtomic ha cerrado con éxito su primera operación de inversión abierta a su propia comunidad de usuarios, una iniciativa pionera que ha permitido a jugadores, clubes y aficionados entrar directamente en el capital de la compañía. La campaña, desarrollada a través de la plataforma Crowdcube, se ha saldado con una captación superior a los 5,1 millones de euros y la incorporación de más de 4.600 nuevos accionistas.

With this operation, Playtomic takes a significant step forward by inviting its community to actively participate in the company’s growth. The strong response highlights the close relationship between the platform and its users, reinforcing a model in which users are not only customers but also active stakeholders in the project.

With a user base of more than 4.7 million players worldwide, Playtomic has evolved from a simple booking tool into a global racket sports network where users organise matches, compete, and connect with one another. This investment round not only strengthens that relationship but also validates the robustness of its business model and its long-term outlook.

The funds raised will be used to drive further technological improvements, strengthen operational capabilities, accelerate international expansion, and advance the integration of new disciplines such as pickleball. The company continues to experience sustained growth, with double-digit increases in both transaction volume and revenue, and now manages over 346 million euros through the platform, generating 29 million euros in net revenue.

Currently present in 66 countries, Playtomic enters this new phase with an even more engaged community and the ambition to further consolidate its position as a global leader in the racket sports ecosystem.
