Amer Sports has appointed Carrie Ask as the new President of Wilson, strengthening the leadership team of one of its key brands in the ball and racquet sports category. Retail expansion will be a major priority in this new phase.
Carrie Ask brings extensive experience in the apparel and sports retail industry. She most recently served as CEO of Helly Hansen, a role she held for nearly four years.
Previously, she was Chief Customer Officer at Tailored Brands, EVP and President of Global Retail at Levi Strauss & Co., and held several senior leadership positions at Nike, where she became Vice President and General Manager of Nike Stores North America.
Amer Sports CEO James Zheng described her as a “proven brand leader and executive with solid senior management experience,” highlighting her expertise in omnichannel management and international development.
A graduate in Ocean Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and holder of an MBA in Strategy and Operations from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Ask will focus on accelerating Wilson’s retail expansion and strengthening the positioning of its apparel line, a segment with growth potential within the group’s portfolio.
This appointment comes at a time of strong growth for Amer Sports, which closed 2025 with double-digit increases in revenue and profitability, and aims to consolidate Wilson as a stable pillar in its racquet sports business, complementing the momentum of Arc’teryx and Salomon in outdoor and technical apparel.
