Artesivo develops a solution to reduce the impact of padel courts on birdlife

  • March 18, 2026

The company Artesivo has developed a solution aimed at reducing the impact of sports infrastructures on wildlife -particularly birds- an issue that has gained relevance in recent years due to the increasing presence of glass surfaces in urban and sports environments.

In this context, padel courts present a specific case due to their extensive use of glass panels. These structures can become difficult obstacles for birds to detect, prompting the need for solutions that balance infrastructure development with biodiversity protection.

To address this challenge, Artesivo has developed a patented non-adhesive vinyl system, specifically designed for application on padel court glass panels. The aim of this solution is to create visual markers that help birds identify glass as a physical barrier, thereby reducing collision risks.

A solution based on visibility, safety and adaptability

The development of this technology is based on three main pillars:

  • Environmental effectiveness, through visual elements that break the transparency or reflection of glass

  • Safety, by eliminating permanent adhesives

  • Versatility, allowing adaptation to different court designs and configurations

Unlike traditional vinyl systems, this solution uses a non-adhesive fixing method, enabling quick, clean, and reversible installation without leaving residues on the glass.

This also represents a significant safety improvement. In the event of glass breakage, the vinyl does not remain attached, reducing the risk of rigid surfaces or sharp fragments caused by adhered glass pieces.

Applicable to new and existing facilities

The system can be installed on both newly built courts and existing facilities, without requiring structural modifications. It also allows for flexible design options, adapting to different visual patterns and aesthetic requirements, and can even serve as a communication or branding element for clubs.

This ease of implementation enables sports clubs, municipal facilities, and private operators to enhance both the safety and environmental responsibility of their installations.

Presentation at Padel World Summit 2026

The company plans to present this solution at the Padel World Summit 2026 in Barcelona, where attendees will be able to learn about its technical features and assess its application in real environments.

With this development, Artesivo highlights the growing importance of integrating sustainability and safety criteria into the design and evolution of sports infrastructures, in line with the global growth of padel.
