Sr. Lobo has released its first verified energy-saving results achieved in padel clubs through the implementation of intelligent automation systems for sports lighting.
The data, obtained from real and fully operational facilities, shows electricity consumption reductions of up to 49% on padel courts, with figures validated through official energy distribution platforms.
The company, specialised in technological solutions for sports facilities, focuses its proposal on the automatic optimisation of court lighting through systems synchronised with bookings and the real-time occupancy of each club.
According to SR.LOBO, padel courts currently account for between 60% and 80% of a club’s total energy consumption, making lighting one of the industry’s main operational cost centres.
The published results correspond to two facilities using different technological configurations. In the case of SUMA Padel Alfafar, a venue featuring 11 indoor and 4 outdoor courts, SR.LOBO implemented its proprietary wireless system using WiFiReceiver 0/1-10V technology.
Meanwhile, Club Pádel G24, a facility with 17 indoor courts, incorporated regulation through the DALI-2 protocol, demonstrating the solution’s compatibility with different lighting control technologies.
In both cases, the company states that it achieved energy consumption reductions close to 50% for court lighting while maintaining the clubs’ normal operations and improving the economic performance of the facilities.
The figures were obtained by comparing equivalent occupancy periods before and after the installation of the intelligent systems.
“The system reads the booking schedule in real time. The lighting and brightness intensity of each court are synchronised with it. The electricity bill reflects the difference from the very first month,” explains Jesús, representative of Club Pádel G24.
SR.LOBO currently operates in dozens of clubs and is actively working on integrations with leading management and booking software platforms within the racquet sports sector.
The company also states that the results achieved can be replicated in any sports facility equipped with dimmable lighting drivers, regardless of the size or number of courts.
Within the current market context, Spain continues to lead the global padel industry with more than 3,800 specialised clubs and around 14,000 active courts, figures that exceed 5,000 sports facilities when mixed tennis and padel clubs and municipal venues are included.
In this environment, solutions based on automation, energy efficiency and technological integration are becoming increasingly important as key tools to improve operational sustainability and optimise management costs within the global padel ecosystem.
