NOX has introduced the new AT10 EOS Vibram by Agustín Tapia, developed in collaboration with Vibram, an international specialist in high-performance outsoles. The main innovation is the Vibram X-ABRADE outsole, designed specifically to meet the demands of padel movements.
The model combines a lightweight construction with technical solutions intended to enhance traction, stability and freedom of movement during court coverage, changes of direction and braking.
Vibram X-ABRADE: multidirectional grip and stability
The Vibram X-ABRADE outsole features a geometric design that combines different tread patterns to address the movement requirements of padel.
Its structure incorporates hexagonal lugs in the central area, designed to support grip during acceleration and braking, and triangular lugs around the perimeter, intended to provide stability during lateral movements.
The design also includes a segmented pivot zone to facilitate controlled turns. According to NOX, this configuration aims to deliver multidirectional traction, abrasion resistance and a stable footing during demanding rallies.
A construction that is up to 17% lighter
Another key feature of the AT10 EOS Vibram is its weight. According to the brand, the model reduces weight by up to 17% compared with NOX’s traditional footwear line.
The shoe features a breathable technical mesh to promote ventilation, alongside a translucent TPU structure that provides support in strategic areas of the foot while retaining the flexibility required for fast movements.
This combination is designed to improve agility on court without compromising support during changes of direction.
NOX technologies for performance and comfort
In addition to the outsole developed with Vibram, the model incorporates several NOX technologies designed to enhance stability, cushioning and durability.
AGG (Advanced Gravity Geometry): a geometry designed to facilitate the ready position and initial acceleration, helping reduce strain on the calf muscles.
Lateral Support: increases the contact area with the ground to improve stability during lateral movements.
AbraXone: a reinforcement in the inner forefoot area that improves abrasion resistance and contributes to stability.
OrthoLite®: an insole designed to provide cushioning and comfort, with antimicrobial properties.
Together, these features address the demands of a sport characterised by explosive movements, frequent changes of direction and repeated lateral movements.
The AT10 identity of Agustín Tapia
The AT10 EOS Vibram by Agustín Tapia features design elements associated with the Argentine player, including his signature on the heel and the AT10 Series branding on the side.
According to the brand, the model has also received clinical endorsement from Marta Rueda, podiatrist and adviser to the CAR high-performance training centre in Sant Cugat.
A collaboration focused on the evolution of padel footwear
The collaboration between NOX and Vibram focuses on developing solutions tailored to the biomechanical demands of padel. The multidirectional outsole, reduced weight and support and cushioning technologies are the main distinguishing features of this new model.
With the AT10 EOS Vibram, NOX expands its footwear range associated with Agustín Tapia and introduces a solution developed alongside an outsole specialist, aiming to meet the performance and comfort requirements of today’s players.
