The 5th General Assembly of the International Padel Cluster (CIP) will be held on Friday, May 16, at the Foro Room of the Spanish Association for Standardization: UNE.
The event, which will be attended by authorities and institutional organizations, will begin with a welcome address by Javier García, Director General of the Spanish Association for Standardization: UNE. The opening remarks will be delivered by Ramón Morcillo, President of the Spanish Padel Federation (FEP).
Next, Luigi Carraro, President of the International Padel Federation (FIP) will take the floor, followed by Mireia Álvarez, President of the CIP, who will present the President’s Report.
Jorge Caña, First Vice President and Head of the Court Area at the CIP, will then address the possibility of the UNE Standard being adopted as an ISO Standard. After that, Alex Ponseti, Member of the CIP Board and Managing Director of the Padel World Summit, will provide the latest updates on the second edition of the largest international event for professionals in the padel sector, to be held from May 27 to 29, 2025, in Barcelona.
Following a coffee break, Daniel Ramos, head of Firamunich, will give an update on the Padel Village at ISPO Munich. Then, Mar Peire, Vice President of AFYDAD - SPAIN IS SPORT, will give a presentation on tourism and sports.
Afterward, Alex Pardo, Second Vice President and Head of the Equipment Area at the CIP, will present the Financial Report. At this point, the 2024 financial closure and the 2025 budget will be submitted for approval.
As a majority vote from the members is required, companies that cannot attend the Assembly are kindly requested to delegate their vote, either to the CIP President or to a member company that plans to attend
Alex Pardo will also review the activities and achievements of the CIP over the past year, highlighting the main milestones and challenges overcome. In addition, he will briefly introduce the companies that have joined the CIP since the last General Assembly, held on March 12, 2024. Lastly, he will present the action plan for 2025, which includes new initiatives aimed at boosting the growth and internationalization of padel worldwide.
Later, Marc Caunes, CIP's Marketing Director, will present the website's statistics and talk about the Padel Cluster Magazine, the first professional magazine dedicated exclusively to the padel sector. Finally, Eduardo Castaño, Managing Partner at Altalex, will introduce the new Legal Department of the CIP, which will be fully managed by his firm.
Following the Q&A session, the General Assembly of the International Padel Cluster will officially conclude. Immediately afterward, a finger lunch will be served, providing attendees with the opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen relationships within the padel industry.
