Jaume Ferrer, Technical Secretary/Coordinator, and above all, the driving force and soul behind the International Padel Cluster (CIP), has passed away, leaving an indelible mark on our association and the entire padel industry. His loss is a devastating blow to those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him, and to an entire sector that, in large part, has grown under the guidance of his vision and commitment.
The story of the CIP cannot be told without Jaume. Since its founding in 2020, he dedicated his energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm to providing cohesion, structure, and representation to an emerging sector in need of organization and direction. Under his leadership, the Cluster became the main platform for dialogue in the global padel industry—a meeting point that today brings together more than 130 companies committed to the sector’s professional development.
Every project driven by the CIP bore his personal hallmark: rigor, foresight, and an exceptional ability to connect people and ideas. Jaume didn’t just build an organization—he built a community.
His legacy extends far beyond padel. He was a key figure in the development of the sports sector in Spain and the founder of DataPadel, Sport Panel, Tradesport, Tradebike, and Outdoor Actual. A pioneer in market research and a leading figure in specialized sports journalism, Jaume was always one step ahead, providing tools, analysis, and a voice to hundreds of brands, professionals, and retailers across the country.
On behalf of everyone at the CIP, we would like to express our deepest condolences to Isabel, his life partner; to Álex and Marta, his children; and all of his family and friends.
Thank you, Jaume. The CIP would not be what it is today without you. Your legacy will continue to guide us.
Rest in peace.
