Founded in 1704, TenCate has continuously evolved over more than three centuries, transitioning from its origins in the textile industry to becoming a key player in sports surface innovation. This trajectory reflects a strong combination of technical expertise, adaptability and continuous innovation, now applied to advanced solutions for sport and leisure.

A key strategic pillar of the company is the Center for Turf Innovation (CTI), also located in Nijverdal. This centre brings together advanced research, technical expertise and multidisciplinary teams focused on developing the next generation of sports surfaces. Through this approach, TenCate delivers solutions that respond to user needs, environmental challenges and evolving market demands.

TenCate operates under a vertically integrated model, covering the entire value chain: from research and development of components and materials, to filament production, turf system manufacturing, sports facility construction, installation, maintenance and end-of-life recycling.

Its portfolio includes internationally recognised brands such as GreenFields, Domo Sports Grass and TigerTurf, and the company has been a preferred supplier to leading sports organisations including FIFA, World Rugby and the International Hockey Federation.

Within the padel industry, TenCate Grass continues to strengthen its position with a portfolio of high-quality artificial turf systems specifically designed for padel. In 2024, 2025 and 2026, the company has been Official Supplier and Sponsor of Premier Padel Rotterdam, reinforcing its presence in the professional circuit.

With revenues exceeding 2.14 billion dollars in 2025, TenCate Grass joins the CIP with the aim of contributing to the sustainable and innovative development of padel, bringing its expertise in surface engineering and sports technology.

As part of its integration into the international padel ecosystem, the company will also be present at the Padel World Summit 2026, where it will showcase its solutions with its own stand, reinforcing its commitment to the global development of the sport.
