Premier Padel and the International Padel Federation (FIP) have taken a new step in the professional expansion of padel with major renewals and new strategic developments announced this June. Amid a phase of global growth, the circuit reinforces its long-term commitment with iconic venues and new collaborations.
Renewed Major Tournaments
The three most iconic tournaments of the circuit -the Italy Major (Rome), the Paris Major (Roland-Garros), and the Qatar Major (Doha)- will remain key parts of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour thanks to new multi-year agreements. These renewals reaffirm the calendar’s stability and the international appeal of professional padel, which has seen a 30% increase in TV audience so far in 2025.
Spain, a Strategic Hub
Octagon Spain has been confirmed as the official manager of all Premier Padel tournaments held in Spanish territory through 2032. This agreement ensures long-term professional organization for one of the sport’s key markets.
Additionally, the FIP Intercontinental Cup has been postponed to 2026 due to the congested summer calendar. More details on the event’s format, venue, and partners will be announced soon.
International alliances
Among the most notable developments is the collaboration between Premier Padel and FIFA, which will co-host a special event at the PadelX club in Miami during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. This initiative strengthens ties between padel and other major global sports organizations.
The Hexagon Cup, meanwhile, is moving toward official recognition by the FIP, with active discussions underway to expand the tournament into new international markets.
Long-term vision
Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President of Premier Padel, emphasized that these renewals are “a strong testament to the circuit’s global vision.” Meanwhile, Luigi Carraro, President of the FIP, stated that the new calendar “represents a solid roadmap for the entire padel ecosystem, from grassroots to elite level,” also highlighting the momentum toward the sport’s Olympic goal.
