One of the highlights of the tournament will be the star showdown between the four most dominant players on the circuit: Alejandro Galán and Arturo Coello vs. Juan Lebrón and Agustín Tapia. A clash of titans promising to be one of the most thrilling and exciting matches of the year.
Format and schedule
Reserve Cup Marbella will take place from September 18 to 20 at the exclusive Puente Romano club facilities, featuring a team-based format with innovative rules. Team Reserve and Team Marbella will each have eight players. Coaches cannot repeat pairs during the tournament and will have one substitute player per match, with the option to make a player change during play. Each victory in the first day will earn one point, two points on the second day, and three points on the third day, ensuring excitement until the very last moment. This format turns the tournament into an unpredictable spectacle full of strategic decisions, with the ultimate goal of being crowned champion of this second edition following the success of Miami 2024.
Matches will be played in the evening to ensure the best experience for fans. In addition, the event will feature parallel programming including entertainment, gastronomy, exclusive activities for attendees, and a VIP experience, establishing the Reserve Cup as much more than just a padel tournament.
One of the major novelties is that the event will feature two unusual captains who will bring strategy and spectacle off the court: NBA star and padel enthusiast Jimmy Butler, and Joaquín Sánchez, legendary former Spanish footballer.
