FIP World Padel Report 2025: a comprehensive overview of a sport in constant growth

The FIP World Padel Report 2025, is now available, offering a thorough analysis of the sport’s global development. This second edition confirms the strong expansion of padel across all five continents and provides updated data on facilities, participation, competitive activity and digital presence.

A sport with more than 35 million players

The report highlights significant year-on-year growth:

  • Over 35 million amateur players worldwide
  • +16.1% in the number of clubs
  • +15.2% in the number of courts
  • +42% in registered federation members

The data stems from the FIP National Federation Survey 2025, presented during the General Assembly held in Acapulco (Mexico).

Global expansion and rising number of facilities

Padel continues to spread internationally, with presence in 150 countries and 20 dependent territories. In 2025 alone, 14,355 new courts were built, bringing the worldwide total to 77,300, while the number of clubs increased by 4,775, reaching 24,600 clubs.

Competitive activity also continues to expand: the number of tournaments organised by the FIP rose from 182 in 2024 to 290 in 2025, involving more than 11.000 players across professional and junior categories.

New sections and continental analysis

This year’s edition introduces an in-depth continental overview, identifying:

  • High-growth countries
  • Emerging markets
  • Regions entering consolidation

The report also includes detailed charts and data illustrating the evolution of players, clubs and courts worldwide.

International competition and performance statistics

The document presents insights into the three main circuits managed by the FIP:

  • Premier Padel
  • CUPRA FIP Tour
  • FIP Promises

It also contains the roll of honour for global competitions (professional, junior and senior) and an updated analysis of male and female FIP rankings.

A new section dedicated to statistical curiosities highlights information about top players, including birthplace, height, most represented birth years in the Top 100 and Top 300, and performance of Under-21 and Over-35 athletes.

Detailed profiles of national federations

The second part of the report features detailed profiles of the 87 national federations affiliated in 2025, including:

  • Number of registered players
  • Coach licences
  • Participation in international team competitions

From next year onwards, the report will include over 100 federations and associations.
