Hexagon Cup, the team-based padel competition launched in 2024, has announced a historic strategic alliance with 54, the global sports and entertainment agency behind the creation of LIV Golf, and with the International Padel Cluster (FIP), the world governing body of padel. The agreement marks the launch of the Hexagon World Series, the first official team-based padel circuit governed by the FIP and integrated into its international calendar.
Under this agreement, 54 will invest in and partner with Hexagon Cup to expand and elevate the original project into its next phase: a global team-based circuit featuring several events per year in iconic cities around the world, with equal prize money. The Hexagon World Series becomes the first team-based circuit included in the official FIP calendar, complementing existing professional and amateur competitions, including the Cupra FIP Tour and Premier Padel.
This evolution represents a major opportunity to fully integrate Hexagon Cup within the federative pyramid of padel. The official recognition is based on the strategic alliance announced in February 2025 between Hexagon Cup, Premier Padel and the FIP, under which Premier Padel is also a shareholder and the main strategic partner of the new circuit.
The Hexagon World Series will expand the innovative team-based format introduced by Hexagon Cup into a circuit model, incorporating multiple international events throughout the year. This expansion will create new commercial opportunities for fans, players and partners, while strengthening the FIP’s global ecosystem and supporting padel’s Olympic ambition.
The new circuit will complement Premier Padel, the FIP’s flagship professional circuit for pair competitions, elevating the sport to a new level within a fully integrated commercial structure. Together, Premier Padel and the Hexagon World Series will form the global professional circuit for elite players, combining top-level pair competitions with an innovative team-based format, both governed by the FIP.
Details regarding the competition format, teams, event calendar and host cities will be announced in 2026.
The investment by 54 also marks the completion of an international funding round for Hexagon Cup, backed by a diverse group of global investors. These include PadelPark India, UK-based operator Padel Hub, US operator Epic Padel, as well as investment funds and platforms such as Players Fund (UK) and LinkinFirm (Brazil), alongside strategic partners from Mexico, Spain, the United States and the Middle East. This multi-regional capital structure strengthens the project’s foundations and its position to lead the international expansion of padel.
