The Women’s Padel Association (WPA) and the International Padel Players Association (IPPA) have announced a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the global growth of women’s padel, with a primary focus on Asia, one of the fastest-emerging regions for the sport.
Under this agreement, WPA will act as IPPA’s Official Anchor Partner in Asia, leading membership expansion, athlete development initiatives, and coaching programs across the region in collaboration with Asia Padel Events, an international promoter of padel tournaments in Asia.
The alliance represents a new step in the professionalization of women’s padel, bringing together two organizations that share a commitment to representation, opportunity, and long-term sport development.
Four strategic pillars
The partnership is structured around four main pillars:
Expanding IPPA’s international membership across Asia
Strengthening the global women’s padel ecosystem
Creating structured pathways for professional and aspiring female players
Delivering coaching and high-performance development programs through Asia Padel Events
Through WPA’s network of federations, clubs, grassroots programs, and elite tournaments, female athletes across Asia will gain broader access to the international padel ecosystem.
New membership pathways for female players
A central component of the agreement is the creation of dedicated membership categories for Female FIP Professional and Female FIP Amateur players, designed to enhance representation and provide meaningful benefits and career support.
The initiative aims to support the integration of Asian athletes into the international professional ecosystem and foster the next generation of women in padel.
Coaching and professional development opportunities
IPPA members will gain access to a range of opportunities across Asia, including:
Coaching clinics at Asia Padel Events tournaments, with more than twenty international events confirmed for 2026
Guest coaching roles within WPA programs
High-performance workshops and masterclasses
Women-focused training and development camps across key Asian markets
These initiatives are designed to raise technical standards, increase visibility for female professionals, and accelerate the regional maturity of women’s padel.
Immediate activation and regional scope
The partnership takes effect immediately, with upcoming announcements expected regarding tournament integrations, coaching initiatives, and regional programs across Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East.
According to both organizations, combining WPA’s regional leadership with IPPA’s global player representation establishes one of the most comprehensive platforms dedicated to advancing women in padel worldwide.
