  • July 29, 2026

The José María Martín Carpena Sports Palace once again hosted the Andalucía Málaga Premier Padel P1, held from 11 to 19 July, with a total prize fund of €479,068. In the men's final, Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia defeated Federico Lebrón and Franco Augsburger 6-2, 6-2, while Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea overcame Bea González and Paula Josemaría 7-5, 3-6, 7-6, securing the title in a third-set tie-break.

During the tournament's official presentation on 9 July, the Málaga City Council, the Provincial Council of Málaga and the Regional Government of Andalusia once again underlined the event's importance as a driver of sports tourism and international destination promotion, although no official estimate of its economic impact has been released.

A well-established stop on the international calendar

With this latest edition, Málaga further strengthens its position as one of the established venues on the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour, during a crucial stage of the season in the Race 2026 standings.

Beyond the sporting competition, the tournament also served as a showcase for companies operating within the padel industry. The competition courts, installed by Padel Galis using Mondo artificial turf .both IPC member companies- provided international visibility for their technical solutions among players, spectators and media attending the event.

What it means for the industry

The continued success of the Andalucía Málaga Premier Padel P1 reinforces Spain's -and particularly Andalusia's- position as one of the world's leading hubs for professional padel. By combining elite competition, strong institutional backing and the participation of specialised companies, events like this provide a strategic platform for both the sport's development and the international visibility of the padel industry.
