The event will bring together companies, startups, investors and other sports industry stakeholders in Barcelona on September 30 to work on real industry challenges and create new opportunities for business, collaboration and innovation.
Under the motto “Where Sport Industry Meets Innovation”, the first edition of SPORT BUSINESS DAY will offer a practical and participatory format in which companies will play an active role, working alongside other industry professionals to address some of the key challenges currently facing the sports sector.
Organised by SPAIN IS SPORT and The Venue.Barcelona, the event aims to create a meeting point for the different players within the ecosystem and encourage the development of new solutions, partnerships and business opportunities.
A day focused on industry challenges
Throughout the event, participants will work on a range of strategic areas shaping the future of sport, including:
The day will begin with an Open Innovation Session, where participating companies will be divided into different teams to work together on solutions to the challenges presented.
Participants will also have the opportunity to discover solutions and technologies developed by startups with potential applications in the sports industry, while sharing experiences and insights with other sector professionals.
From innovation to business validation
In the afternoon, the Innovation Validation Session will give participants the opportunity to present the solutions developed during the day to specialised investors.
This second stage will bring a business and investment perspective to the ideas generated, encouraging knowledge exchange and helping identify potential development opportunities.
A meeting point for the sports ecosystem
The event will conclude with an Ecosystem Networking session, open to companies, startups, investors, clubs, federations, institutions, universities, accelerators, media and industry partners.
The aim is to create an environment for sharing knowledge, establishing new connections and exploring potential collaborations among the different stakeholders that make up the sports industry.
